A new member of the family
I picked up the newest member of my family today. A 2005, BMW F650 GS. Photos when I get a chance in daylight, which probably won't be tomorrow since I'm going to Jamestown for the day.

I was just drooling over the F800 GS today. What made you go with the 650 over the 800? Any particular reason, or you just liked it better?

1. Cheaper (the model was discontinued last year, so they are all used)
2. Lower sear
3. Available now

The 800GS was originally supposed to be delivered starting in late spring. That has since moved to fall. Every bike my dealer is scheduled to receive in 2008 already has a deposit on it, plus there is a waiting list.

Maybe in 2009 or 2010.

Sear = seat? I was noticing those heights too, damn my short legs.

Not that I could get one anytime soon anyway, but the info is good to know, thanks.

Yea, which is about 3 inches too high for my short legs. Dammit.
