the LS&TSB dream
Every once in a while I have a dream that reminds me of the movie Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. It's the kind of dream where something bad happens, and then my reaction makes it worse, then something else makes it worse until I wake up and remind myself that the whole thing was a dream. Sometimes, I have to actually get out of bed and move around before I fully realize it didn't happen and no police, hospital visits, funerals, etc., will be involved.

They do not make for a very restful night. Fortunately, I only have one or two of those per year.

I had one earlier this week that required getting up, walking around, and reading Fark for a while to clear it out of my head.

Remember the movie "Nell" with Jodie Foster as a girl who grew up way back in the hollers of North Carolina, who was socially stunted and spoke only her own language?

Replace Nell with a six year-old boy who was also a psychopath and a serial killer, and there's my dream.

God, dreams like that are awful. How is that supposed to be restful for our brains? I have a lot of dreams where I'm trying to find something in a very cluttered place, and I spend the entire dream putting things away and looking. It's exhausting.
