Spending money like a Drunken Duke on his Birthday

So far this week:
$500+ for new tires on the Forester
$400+ to close out my account with the dentist
$400+ new front tire and brake pads for LT (big bike)
$100+ to fix vacuum cleaner

I won't count my latest order from lapolicegear.com, since I ordered it last week.

On the plus side, I took some photos at Morton's today, including a Harley dog carrier.

I thought you had and almost mentioned it. This guy better never cut anybody off with a distinctive ride like that.

I was wrong, it was last August, and I made the mistake of mentioning it in motorcycles.

Well, things are generally quieter in my LJ.

What is it about that group that seems to bring out extremist positions on many topics? Didn't Riss once make the mistake of asking about how best to carry on a bike there?

Got me, though Riss and I have discussed it before. Maybe it's a "we're a minority on the road, we do an edgy/dangerous thing, and that entitles us to other extreme opinions."

Didn't Riss once make the mistake of asking about how best to carry on a bike there?

Yes, yes indeed. (Her question got a far more positive and helpful reception in guns, as I recall.)

At least we can rest assured the Internet will always have its share of self-important assholes posing as self-appointed authorities.
