Guilty pleasures
I am possibly the only person I know who cares about the new Blackberries announced yesterday. How the mighty hath fallen.

From Google+, I have been advised that midnightsrain is also a BB fan. That makes two of us, I guess.

It's brief because it's BlackBerry

They lost me when they got rid of the physical keyboard.

The Z10 has a virtual keyboard, but the Q10 has a physical very similar to the 9900/9930 (I have a 9930). I will be watching developments with interest until my next cycle in August.

I was not aware they still had a keyboarded model. All the media blurbs have been saying "no keyboard on the new model" and since I already have something with a virtual keyboard I didn't investigate further.

Yes, dear, but you're still using a model introduced in 2007 whose trackball I had to service as recently as yesterday.
Does this mean you might consider a leap forward?

That's because I *love* my red phone, and have only recently begun having problems with it. I guess it's time, though.

I still use mine for work email. Hard to beat it for that purpose. Might upgrade when the new keyboarded one comes out because I am unwilling to risk personal phone with work IS policies.

I saw the ads; they look pretty. However, my company changed from BB Curves to iPhones, and ain't lookin' back. :)

And therein lies the big problem. If BB10 had come out a year ago they could have kept a lot of business users in the fold. Now, it may be too late to save themselves.
