To everyone continuing to bleat about Stand your Ground in the Martin shooting:

Would it make any difference to your opinion to know that Stand your Ground was never raised in this case because it didn't apply? Even a rudimentary reading of the evidence would reveal this.
P.S. your picture of Martin is four or five years out of date. More current photos are readily available.

Just trying to help. I wouldn't want you to look like a blatant liar or an idiot, which are the only two possible conclusions available.

There is a lot of confusion about this for good reason. See the addendum of this article: http://reason.com/blog/2013/07/14/sorry-the-zimmerman-case-still-has-nothi

The court of public opinion loves to grasp at any straw, whether it's attached to the broom or not.

My only comment on the entire case: If Zimmerman had simply stayed in his car, as he was instructed by the 911 calltaker, none of this would even be under discussion today.

That's as far as I go.

Based on the tape and his testimony in court, the dispatcher didn't instruct George to do anything. The most his statement could be considered is a suggestion.
