The dentist's office called late yesterday to tell me something went wrong with the impression(s) taken to make my permanent crowns. I called back this morning to make an appointment, and ended up going in this afternoon for a new impression.
This involved removing the temporary crowns, pushing my gums around for a while, taking the impression, and putting the temporary crowns back on. About 50 minutes all told and there was anesthetic involved.
Because this wasn't as involved a process, I was only numbed for the duration of the event. Now, I'm in more discomfort than I was after the last session.
I have taken one vicodin and I'm trying to stay awake so I can sleep normally tonight. We'll see how that all goes.
