I watched The Longest Yard all the way through at one time on DVD last night. Still amusing. There is no way you could get away with some of the stuff in there today (misogyny, special needs, race, etc.), so it's a good thing no one has tried. Do not speak of anything involving Adam Sandler that might happen to have a similar title, as it does not exist in my world.
Like Smokey & the Bandit, it reminds me that Burt Reynolds actually can act--especially in comparison to most of the other people in a lot of his movies.
