A couple weeks ago, I started having a lot of pain in my left (non-bionic) knee. Eventually it reached the point that I actually went to see a doctor. Two visits, x-rays, and an MRI later, I have a torn meniscus. The way to fix that is to 'scope it and snip the torn part off. Pretty basic as surgery goes.
My surgery date is set for March 3rd. I should be back at work the following Monday and feeling pretty normal within a couple weeks. I'm pleased at this date since the first offer was March 17th!
I already have a handicapped parking tag and supply of Percocet, though I haven't needed the pain meds--they're for the couple days after the procedure. I'm using a cane to minimize the extra strain on my various parts, but it isn't too bad. It's nothing compared to what I went through with the other leg.
