Once again, I find myself on the outside looking in at WoW humor.

For the Horde

Which is why you have WoW geeks on your list to help you comprehend.

I know there are two basic "teams", and many different servers, and I think your character can only intereact with others from the same server. After that, I get a little shaky.

Of course, the closest I've ever been to the actual game was the time you took me on a tour while you were still in Maryland.

When two WoW players meet, standard etiquette requires you mention what server you most often play on and your race/class. Faction is determined by your race, thusly:

Human/Night Elf/Dwarf/Gnome/Dranei = Alliance
Orc/Troll/Tauren/Undead/Blood Elf = Horde

There's *always* a little friction when two players of opposing factions meet up, but not usually to the level Marigold did in the comic. Usually it's good-natured insults.

Honestly? I've seen nastier fights over class. Being a hunter, I was anathema to all rogues, and vice versa; you'll have to get gekko or skreidle to weigh in on their experiences.

Most of the class-based infighting I see varies depending on which class Blizzard has boosted stats and dps for, and which has been "nerfed". (I saw a lot of squabbling between rogues and warlocks, depending which was king of damage-per-second that month, depending which promises Blizzard had fulfilled..)
